This evergreen perennial vine, which is also called the Sweetheart Plant, has the reputation of being one of the easiest houseplants to care for. Its heart-shaped leaves and trailing vines make it an attractive option for shelves or hanging baskets. It is a vigorous grower and vines can reach a more than a 1.2 metres in length.

Dragon’s Tail Pothos – (Epipremnum pinnatum)

The Dragon’s Tail Plant (one of our faves) is a lush, evergreen vine which is a popular choice as an indoor plant for its classy appearance. When the leaves are new they are oval and smooth. As they mature they split into a shape resembling a dragon’s tail and become more leathery. The foliage remains a lovely, emerald green throughout. This is an easy-to-care for specimen but be careful not to overwater.

Peace Lily or Madonna Lily – (Spathiphyllum)

The Peace Lily is perennial favourite for all kinds of occasions from celebrations to bereavements, or just for growing for its elegant appearance. The foliage can range from light to very dark green in colour and from from slim to broad in shape, depending on the variety. Although not truly a lily all varieties produce lovely, creamy white flowers that resemble a lily, rising up from the foliage on stiff stems. The leaves of the Peace Lily will droop when its needs water.

This lovely plant is not actually an ivy at all, but is so called because it looks quite like English ivy. Originating in Southern Africa, Delairea Odorata is part of the daisy family. It’s a hardy plant that does not require much attention. In its variegated form it has delicate leaves and pretty pink stems. Its beautifully shaped leaves and trailing habit make it an excellent choice for placing on shelves or in hanging baskets, or it can be clipped to achieve a more compact, bushy specimen.

Variegated Peperomia – (Peperomia Obtusifolia Variegata)

This version of the Radiator Plant or Baby Rubber Plant has lovely cream marbling through its gorgeous green foliage. Its leaves are slightly concave, creating an almost cup-like shape. Its compact nature makes it an ideal plant for a desk and it is easy to care for as long as you don’t overwater.
